I realize that I wanted to encompass more than just a little blurb about me, so this page includes how the blog came to be, my characters, and me.
That was approximately the beginning of November 2012. Eleven days later, I am completely and utterly addicted. I knew I would be, so I shouldn't sound the least bit surprised. I'm not sure if it's the newness of the game, but I have found a lack of user-friendly resources when it comes to GW2. Perhaps it's because I am used to World of Warcraft, which has been out so long that people have cookie-cutter specs for every class and you can find every bit of information on anything you want to know about the game online. Personally, I haven't seen this being the same case with GW2.
Anyway, I guess I should tell a little about myself in this section, hm? Well, therein lies the hard part. I don't feel like I'm that interesting. Maybe I'll return to this section later if interest seems to arise in it.
About Me:
Honestly, I was hesitant to buy Guild Wars 2. My boyfriend was super excited about it and insisted that it was going to be the best thing since sliced bread. I, however, remained skeptical. It wasn't a huge deal anyway because his laptop couldn't run it...but then a friend sold him a desktop that could. Then, I had to seriously consider my $60 purchase. When he said he was going to buy GW2 after his shift ended at work, I though, "May as well..." and bought the digital download. That was approximately the beginning of November 2012. How the Blog Came to Be:
I don't know about you guys, but when I play a game, I want to complete it. That goes double for games that grant experience for exploring the world. I kept getting frustrated by having to refer to the Guild Wars 2 Wiki and many different YouTube videos to find all of the vista points, points of interest, and waypoints -- especially on those tricky ones that are underground.
So, one day, I posed the suggestion to my boyfriend that I wanted to do my own guide for Tyria. He said it sounded like fun and would definitely be something that would interest me. That was all the encouragement I needed to set up a Blogger for it. I thought Blogger because it would be a great way to do installments as I progress through my journey; I do hope to record an entire map run of each vista point, point of interest, and waypoint, but first things first.
My Characters:
Currently, I play two characters both located on the Anvil Rock server.
Asynlynn: Human Guardian
Vaelestria: Sylvari Mesmer
